Daniel Agger was pleased with the team's game against Iceland, but the system is still not properly in place.

Teams Captain Daniel Agger was delighted Denmark's performance in the 2-1 victory over Iceland. But with a new coach and a new playing system and only two training sessions before the match, everything was still not fully in place.

- Two trainings are not enough. It's gone well, but it takes time. We've got the ideas and basic principles, and it is obviously the ones we have to work with.

- But if in the process can turn a good team like Iceland, it looks okay, says a happy state after the battle.

In victory Thursday asked the new national coach Åge Hareide up in a formation with three players in the middle. The roles fell to Simon Kjaer, Andreas Christensen and thus Daniel Agger.

But even if the system was new, worked defense played well, think Agger.

- We were just into it. Of course there are some votes that just be in place. But I think really, we quickly fell into place and was well on the field. I think we came surprisingly good and solid from the start.

- And then it also meant something that we dare to pick up the ball and did not lose it immediately. So it is easier to stand properly, says Agger.

About the system with three defenders is the optimum for the national team, gives Agger is not a clear answer, but Thursday's fighting was the right choice, he says.

- It is up to the coach to assess. But seen from the outside, so we have many good defenders, and also many good up front. So right now, as the battle course that suited the system perfectly.

- But it is especially when the opponent plays with two strikers. It's harder when they play with a single, assess Agger.

The captain played the first hour of the match and was then replaced by Jannik Vestergaard. The replacement was according Agger agreed with the coach in advance.

The next task for the national team is friendly against Scotland away Tuesday.
