The summer signing made the decisive impact on 75 minutes to seal a turnaround for the Reds and secure a second successive win on the summer tour.

Adam Lallana had started the comeback with a sublime conversion after Dimitri Petratos put the hosts in front with a well-executed goal.

The victory followed up a 4-0 result in Bangkok and signs off this leg of the trip around the world ahead of the next stop in Adelaide.

A capacity Brisbane crowd gleefully took their opportunity to sing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' ahead of kick-off, a multitude of voices combining to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Buoyed by the majority support, Brendan Rodgers' charges almost instantly dominated the ball, sharing possession in neat interchanges between a fluid midfield and forward line.

But it was the A-League outfit who took the lead with a fine goal.

With 17 minutes on the clock, Brandon Borrello dug out a precise pass across the box from a position deep on the left flank.

His tee-up bounced kindly into the path of Petratos, who quickly jinked into room to shoot and swept a finish into the bottom corner beyond Simon Mignolet.

Danny Ings probably thought he had equalised when he pounced at the edge of the box to volley on the diagonal, but Roar goalkeeper Jamie Young was alert to save.

The stopper was helpless on 28 minutes, however. Milner sprayed a pass out to the left to Lallana, who struck from a similar position in Bangkok on Tuesday.

This time the midfielder's play was even more clinical, cutting inside his marker and curling perfectly into the far corner to restore parity with panache.

Brisbane were a consistent threat on the counter-attack and Mignolet needed to be sharp when Borrello raced in behind and clipped towards the net.

At the other end, Mamadou Sakho's power lifted him above the crowd from a Liverpool corner but the Frenchman's header was cleared off the line by the watchful Luke Brattan.

The first quarter-hour of the second period very much reflected the first, with the Reds in control of the ball but being stemmed by resolute Roar defending.

It was the last line of that defence which prevented Liverpool from moving in front shortly after the hour mark.

Jordan Henderson attacked the penalty box and collected a clever Ings lay-up 10 yards out, only for Young to dive down in time to keep the captain's low effort out.

Substitute and rising talent Devante Clut next tried his luck from much further out but his vicious, dipping shot from range was just too high to beat Mignolet.

Young's most impressive save of many kept out Jordon Ibe, who surged to the left side of the box and thundered at the opposite top corner to see the 'keeper get crucial fingertips on the blast.

He was ultimately beaten by the sheer determination of Milner when the No.7 latched onto Henderson's centre, nutmegged a defender and forced the ball over Young.

A blistering run from halfway by Ibe was eventually thwarted, but the Reds had done enough for the win and can now look forward to a short journey to Adelaide.
