Kenny Dalglish has hailed a 'fantastic team performance' after watching his side cruise to a well deserved 3-0 victory at Norwich.

Luis Suarez was the hero with a memorable hat-trick as the Reds began warming up for next weekend's FA Cup final in style.

While acknowledging the brilliance of Suarez on the day at Carrow Road, the boss was also keen to pay tribute to all those involved in such a convincing victory.

"It was a great win. The level of performance wasn't a surprise. They've done that many times this season but haven't got their just rewards," said Dalglish.

"Within a fantastic team performance, there's always going to be some individual performances that outshines others but Luis scored three and he'll get most of the headlines.

"For us it was the way they went about their work that got us the result.

"We're really pleased with the way they've acquitted themselves today as we were with the way they acquitted themselves over the last week when they never got the result they deserved.

"Every single one of the players in our squad can play for us against anybody.

"They're a credit to themselves in the way they went about their work. The pleasing thing is the performance was rewarded with a proper result.

"Every goal was a great goal but it's a not a surprise because of the quality of the player.

"It was a fantastic hat-trick. When you've got people of his ability, there's not a lot of surprises.

"He's a fantastic footballer and a fantastic person and we're very fortunate to have him playing for us. It took him five minutes to settle into his role. He scored on his debut against Stoke.

"He's always been very comfortable at Liverpool Football Club and his surroundings. He'll be delighted with his strike today."

Dalglish also revealed Andy Carroll missed the match with a 'niggle in his groin'.
